Henrik Wikström is one of Sweden's top songwriters, arrangers and producers. He has been the main in-house producer at Lionheart Music during the past decade where he has produced albums for major Swedish artists such as Sonja Aldén, Måns Zelmerlöw, Shirley Clamp, Nanne Grönvall, Bosson, Magnus Carlsson and Danny Saucedo.
Henrik has been involved in the three Scandinavian hit singles Cara Mia (which sold double platinum and spent 4 weeks at #1 in the Swedish singles chart), Work Of Art (Da Vinci) and Brother Oh Brother from Måns Zelmerlöw’s platinum selling debut album Stand by for... and has also co-written and produced several tracks on Sonja Aldén’s gold selling debut album Till Dig among them the hit singles Här Står Jag and Det Är Inte Regn Som Faller.
Since 1983 Henrik has contributed 27 songs to Melodifestivalen, a very popular competition to determine Sweden’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2006 Carola Häggkvist won the competition with the song Invincible (Evighet) co-written by Henrik. The song finished 5th in the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens and reached #1 in the Swedish singles chart. The BBC used an instrumental version of the song for their coverage of the European Athletics Championships held in Gothenburg the same year.
Henrik is also part of Gravitonas, a brand new Stockholm-based music project together with Alexander Bard (Army of Lovers, BWO) and Andreas Öhrn. Their debut single Kites which was released in April 2010 went straight into the top 10 of the Swedish dance chart. Henrik has previously worked with Bodies Without Organs (BWO) as producer and co-composer of hits such as Lay Your Love On Me which reached #2 in the UK indie chart.
With a classical background from the Royal University College of Music, Henrik is also familiar with writing music for musicals, live shows and the National Theatre. Henrik’s music is frequently used in TV advertising and has been used in shows such as American Idol and as X Factor bumpers.
