Daniel Pemberton

daniel pemberton
Daniel's most recent work for UPPM can be heard on ATMOS277 - The Rhythm Collective

Daniel Pemberton is the Ivor Novello winning and multi-BAFTA nominated composer behind many of the themes and sounds you hear every day, from TV to film, adverts to video games, installations to fashion shows. He has written music for everything from million selling videogames (LittleBIGPlanet, Kinect Adventures) to cult comedy shows (Peep Show), acclaimed TV dramas and series (Desperate Romantics, Upstairs Downstairs, Money, Occupation) to BAFTA and Emmy award winning documentaries (Hiroshima, George Orwell - A Life In Pictures); top rated lifestyle programmes (Great British Menu) to big budget family adventures (Prehistoric Park), reality series (Hells Kitchen, Bad Lads Army) to catwalk shows and art installations.

His ability to jump genres effortlessly yet still bring a unique and recognizable sound to every project saw him named as 'one of the hottest people working in television today' by Broadcast magazine, who praised him as 'a composer prepared to take risks'. He recently won the Ivor Novello Award for his soundtrack to Desperate Romantics and the Fipa D’Or Grand Prize for his score to the television series Occupation and is currently working on Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and The Awakening, a feature film starring Rebecca Hall and Dominic West.
