Chris Elliott is a UK based composer and arranger working across the music and film / TV industries. A highlyversatile musician, Chris works with a wide variety of producers and directors on projects includingAdele, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and One Direction and 'Moulin Rouge!'.
Having initially scoreddocumentaries for ITV and C4 (including BAFTA / Grierson award winning Britain At War In Colour and Second World War In Colour) Chris went on to become a key contributer to 'Moulin Rouge!'. This involved Chris working closely with musical director Marius De Vries and director Baz Lurhmann in Sydney from script stage to final mix of the movie over two years later. Much of Chris' work on 'Moulin Rouge!' involved radically reworking the songs as set pieces, as well as writing additional score.
Chris is a much in demand arranger, writing strings and orchestral arrangements for many projects such as initially Rufus Wainwright, UNKLE, AR Rahman and Sugababes. Building on his relationship with Island Records, Chris went on to score arrangements for Amy Winehouse's album Back To Black including singles Rehab, Love Is A Losing Game and Back To Black. Winehouse producer Mark Ronson commissioned Chris to arrange for his own album, Version including Valerie and Stop Me.
Chris has arranged songs on both of Adele's 19 and 21 albums. More recently Chris has arranged for One Direction and John Legend.
Chris has performed with many artists including The Pretenders, Mark Ronson, Simon Le Bon, George Michael, Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Marianne Faithful, Sinead O'Conner, Neil Finn, Tom Jones, Paul Hartnoll.
