Dominic Walker began his career as a live agent firstly working for Terry King Associates then for Miles Copeland at Prestige Talent where he represented acts including the Sugarcubes, Squeeze, Jools Holland and Primal Scream. He went from there to BMG Music as professional manager where he spent 7 years. Amongst his signings were Guy Chambers and Dodgy. He left BMG in 1995 and went to Polygram / Island Music as Senior Creative Manager and stayed after the buy out by Universal Music. His signings included the Clash, Super Furry Animals and Tim Laws.

 

In 1999 he became MD of Famous Music in the UK representing the Paramount Pictures catalogue and amongst others Eminem. He left in 2002 to set up his own production company Kick Music, representing 'I and I' signed to Epic Records and Black Car on Nude Records. In 2004 he went into the TV/Media music world at Fremantle Media before joining BBCWW in 2006. He is also a PRS composer member.

Dominic Walker is Head of Licensing and Label Management at BBC Worldwide and was instrumental in setting up the partnership with UPPM.
